Well Services Petroleum Company

Well Services Petroleum Company (WSP) is a drilling contractor operating in Trinidad and Tobago and regionally, providing drilling and workover services for offshore and onshore projects, as well as workshop repair services. The company has provided drilling services for every major oil producer that has operated in Trinidad and Tobago since its inception in 1967.

In recent years, the company has worked primarily with state-owned Heritage Petroleum. It also expanded its presence in the region by working with Decker Petroleum Marketing Company – a fellow Trinidad-based company – which is operating Suriname’s offshore Nickerie block.

WSP primarily focuses on drilling services catering to shallow-water and onshore developments. It is certified in ISO 14001 and 18001 and API Spec.Q1, as well as being STOW-certified.

The company provides training related to the oil and gas sector. It also owns a subsidiary, Lease Operators Ltd., which operates onshore assets in Trinidad.
