Oman Sustainability Week (OSW) is the Sultanate of Oman’s national event dedicated to Sustainability. The week-long event provides an enriching platform for industry to network, showcase innovative strategies aligned with the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals |(SDGs) and engage with the national development stakeholders and wider society to present Oman as a new model for sustainable development.

OSW will be held from 12 to 16 March 2023 at multiple venues in Oman’s capital, Muscat. With over 7,000 industry professionals and consumers expected to gather over five days of innovation, knowledge exchange and networking, the event offers organizations a unique opportunity to maximize brand exposure to the right audience. The event presents unmatched opportunities for organizations to showcase latest sustainability technologies, renewable energy solutions and eco-friendly initiatives from across the world.

Why Oman Sustainability Week?

•  Oman Sustainability Week is a national platform hosted by Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MoEM) that focuses on sustainability in the areas of energy and water demands of the sultanate in addition to the protection of the environment with clear alignment to the 2030 SDG’s and 2040 Oman Vision.
• Sharing technical expertise and resources available within the major establishment of the energy and environment sector in coordination with Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Supreme Council for Planning towards the economic and development key theme stated in the Oman 2040 vision.
• Bringing international and local knowledge, investment opportunities and best practices in sustainability in relation to the energy, water and environment prospects.
• Aligning and centralising all the conferences and exhibitions related to sustainability in energy, water and environment.
• Engaging the business community and residents in shifting the culture towards a sustainable lifestyle and development that will aid towards meeting the commitment in 2030 SDG’s and 2040 Oman vision specifically the economy and development theme.

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Develop an agenda aligned with the goals of the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and Oman Vision 2040, focusing on sustainability in the areas of energy and water demands of the Sultanate in addition to the protection of the environment.
• Position Oman as a leader in sustainable development.
• Reinforce sustainable development as a key feature of governance.
• Design a roadmap for sustainable development in Oman.
• Define the parameters of development, funding efficiency, technological advancement and data availability.
• Create a networking opportunity with sustainability experts and industry leaders from Oman, the GCC region and other parts of the world.
