Engineer Gbenga Komolafe from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) gave the keynote speech at the launch of our latest book on Nigeria at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

The Energy Year Nigeria 2023 launch and awards ceremony saw  the NUPRC awarded the Institution of the Year Award for its role in encouraging technological advances.

Komolafe said, ‘The Energy Year is an essential market intelligence tool and a foremost energy intelligence provider. The sole presence of The Energy Year in Nigeria means that we are a great country with a strong and emerging energy industry.”

 

The Person of the Year Award went to Simbi Wabote, Executive Director of the Nigerian Local Content Development and Monitoring Board, represented by the General Manager of Corporate Communications, Angela Okoro. Adamantine Energy, represented by Head of Human Resources Nomso Diala received the Integrated Energy Company of the Year award. Gas Company of the Year  went to ND Western, represented by Finance Manager Ilesanmi Obazu. OneWattSolar founder Femi Oye collected his companies award for Sustainable Company of the Year. Shell Nigeria Gas was named Energy Investor of the Year and award was collected by Senior HSE Advisor Dr Sam Pepple. Energy Transportation Company of the Year Award went to the Sea Transport Group, represented by General Manager Musa Ibn Saidu.  Human Resources Manager Motilayo Akerele accepted Downstream Company of the Year Award on behalf of Brass Fertilizer and Petrochemical Company.
