ABU DHABI, November 25, 2022 – Keppel Offshore & Marine has delivered the first of three jackup rigs to ADNOC Drilling in a USD 352-million deal, the offshore mobile platform supplier announced on Thursday.

The three newbuild rigs are part of five that Keppel Offshore & Marine is building for Borr Drilling between October 2022 and July 2023.

The delivered rig can operate in water depths of more than 122 metres and drill to 10,700 metres both vertically and horizontally. The asset is equipped with a fully automated rack and pinion jacking system and a self-positioning fixation system along with accommodations for 150 people.

“Our high quality and cost-effective KFELS B Class family of rigs have a strong track record in the Middle East,” said Tan Leong Peng, managing director for newbuilds of Keppel Offshore & Marine. “Since the start of 2022, all nine of our proprietary jackup rigs have been contracted for deployment in the Middle East.”
