Aker in China subsea deal

OSLO, October 24, 2018 – Aker Solutions has received a NOK 1.7-billion (USD 205-million) subsea contract from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the Norwegian services provider announced on Tuesday.
The deal covers the Lingshui 17-2 gasfield located in the South China Sea, CNOOC’s first subsea deepwater project, the company statement added.
“We are pleased to extend our partnership with CNOOC in China to the Lingshui gasfield and leverage our global deepwater capabilities,” Aker CEO Luis Araujo said. “Our complete offering of a subsea production system and umbilicals will enable CNOOC to reduce costs and maximise the production of the field.”
