Aramco extends long-term agreement with Lamprell
DHAHRAN, April 17, 2025 – Saudi Aramco has extended its long-term agreement (LTA) with UAE-based EPC contractor and rig manufacturer Lamprell for offshore engineering services, Lamprell announced on Wednesday.
Originally signed in 2018 to support Aramco’s Offshore Maintain Potential Program and other offshore work, the agreement covered EPCI and transportation for a period of six years with two three-year extension options for Aramco.
“We are proud to have delivered several LTA Contract Release Purchase Order projects to date and are working on several others currently being constructed in our UAE facility. Our growing office in Saudi Arabia and the steadily advancing International Maritime Industries yard, where we are a joint venture partner, clearly indicate our commitment to the region and support of IKTVA efforts,” said Ian Prescott, CEO of Lamprell.
The objective of the Offshore Maintain Potential Program is to conduct systematic upgrades, expansions and maintenance on Aramco’s offshore facilities. Selected LTA contractors have the right to bid for tenders put out by Saudi Aramco without further technical prequalification or preselection, considerably shortening the lead time through to award. Lamprell’s 2018 LTA bid was entered in a consortium with global maritime contractor Boskalis.
