ADELAIDE, January 10, 2018 – Santos has struck hydrocarbons in several wells in Australia, partner Beach Energy said in its latest monthly drilling report, released on Wednesday.

 

Wells Namur-9 and Namur-10 in the Namur field in the Cooper Basin have encountered 53 and 61.5 metres of gas deposits, respectively. Four out of six wells in the McKinlay Field were also considered a success, encountering smaller pays. Santos operates the projects with a 66.6% interest while partners Beach and Origin hold 20.21% and 13.19% stakes, respectively.

Beach also reported a success in the Largs-1 well in the Southwest Patchawarra formation, whose sidetrack encountered 12.8 metres of net hydrocarbons deposits. Beach holds a 100% stake in the licence.
