Bidders for Mexico deepwater round listed

MEXICO CITY, November 29, 2016 – Mexico’s National Hydrocarbons Commission on Monday disclosed the final list of the 17 certified bidders to take part in its first-ever auction of deepwater assets.

 

The round will see both individual companies as well as consortia place bids. The latter includes a tie-up between Chevron, Inpex and Pemex, which marks a first for the national oil company. The other partnerships are PC Carigali, Sierra Offshore exploration, Murphy and Ophir; BP, Statoil and Total. The list of duos comprises Atlantic Rim and Shell, Eni and Lukoil and, finally, Total and ExxonMobil.

BP, ExxonMobil, Statoil, Total and Pemex will also place individual bids, as will BHP Billiton, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Petronas.
