Dangote Refinery receives first batch of 4,000 CNG-powered fuel trucks
LAGOS, August 11, 2025 – Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has begun receiving 4,000 CNG-powered trucks for its fuel distribution programme in Nigeria, which is set to launch on August 15, 2025, the company said on Sunday.
The fleet, imported through Apapa Port, represents an estimated capital investment of USD 470 million and is intended to lower logistics costs while improving fuel supply efficiency across Nigeria.
The first batch of trucks was delivered to the refinery site in Ibeju-Lekki and received by Dangote Industries’ vice-president of oil and gas, Devakumar Edwin, along with refinery staff and customers.
Group chief of branding and communication, Anthony Chiejina, said the development marked a major step forwards for the downstream sector.
