Eni invests more in UK offshore wind project

ABERDEEN, November 3, 2021 – Eni has acquired a 20% stake in the Dogger Bank C offshore wind project on the UK’s North Sea from Equinor and SSE Renewables, the Italian energy major announced on Tuesday.
The third phase of the Dogger Bank development will generate 3.6 GW when it begins production in 2025.
Dogger Bank A and Dogger Bank B developments will commence production in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
All three phases will generate around 18 TWh and supply 5% of the UK’s total demand. It is currently the largest offshore wind farm under construction.
Once the transaction is completed, Eni will own 20% shares in all three phases, with Equinor and SSE Renewables holding 40% shares each.
