
Equinor extends drilling contracts for $2.1 bln

OSLO, May 9, 2022 – Equinor has extended drilling and specialist services contracts with 16 suppliers worth a combined USD 2.1 billion, the Norwegian oil and gas company announced on Friday.
The extended contracts for works on Equinor-operated fields on the Norwegian continental shelf will apply for two years from June 1, 2022.
Drilling work will employ around 2,000 workers on 18 fixed platforms and 12 mobile rigs.
Well services works will employ around 600 specialists.
Providers include Baker Hughes, Halliburton and Schlumberger.
