Fluor lands Kazakhstan job
IRVING, February 7, 2017 – Fluor’s Kazakh subsidiary KPJB has been awarded a front-end engineering and design contract by Tengizchevroil (TCO), the US EPC contractor announced on Tuesday.
The contract covers TCO’s multi-phase pump project, which will be executed across existing surface facilities at the company’s Tengiz and Korolev fields. Detailed detailed design and procurement jobs are included in the scope of the award.
“Through early involvement, we can optimize design and construction solutions and provide a strong foundation for the project’s advancement. We will leverage our team’s extensive knowledge of executing oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan to deliver the project in a safe and efficient manner without disruption to production,” the president of Fluor’s energy and chemicals unit for Europe Africa and the Middle East, Al Collins, said in a statement.
The project will be counted towards the company’s contract volume in the final quarter of 2016. Fluor’s history in the market dates back to 1982.
