FPSO to set sail for Angola

SINGAPORE, October 14, 2016 – The naming ceremony for Eni’s newest floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, destined for operations in Block 15/06 offshore Angola, was held in Singapore on Friday.

 

Christened the Armada Olombendo, the FPSO will be utilised on the East Hub Development Project, which is scheduled to deliver first oil in the first half of 2017. Once moored and hooked up in some 500 metres of water, the FPSO will be ready to receive oil from the project’s five producing wells via a pipeline system.

Eni operates block 15/06 on a 36.84% stake, with partners <a href='https://theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/sonangol/’>Sonangol and SSI Fifteen holding 36.84% and 26.32%, respectively.
