Gazprom Neft test fires Badra LPG

MOSCOW, August 23, 2017 – Russia’s Gazprom Neft has produced its first LPG at the Badra oilfield in Iraq, international media reported on Wednesday.

 

Commercial production at the field’s gas treatment plant, which has a capacity of 1.6 bcm (56.5 bcf) per year, is scheduled to start in Q4, Reuters reported.

The Badra oilfield, located in the Wasit Province in eastern Iraq, holds an estimated 3 billion barrels of oil. Development at the site is ongoing, with peak crude output projected at 170,000 bopd, up from around 80,000 bopd at present.

Gazprom Neft is the operator of the field with a 30% stake. Its partners are Iraqi Oil Exploration Company with 25%, Korea Gas Corporation with 22.5%, Petronas with 15% and Turkish Petroleum with 7.5%.
