A joint venture between the country’s National Oil and Gas Authority, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation and Petrochemical Industries Company of Kuwait, GPIC will also work with GE on maintenance work on the latter’s equipment in the country.
GPIC President Abdulrahman Jawahery said the partnership would help raise the efficiency of Bahrain’s ammonia and methanol plants, opening the way for production increases.
GE Oil & Gas’ CEO for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Zaher Ibrahim, said the agreement was a result of the long-standing partnership between the two entities.
