Hansa delivers Egina carousel to Nigeria

LAGOS, August 21, 2018 – Hansa Heavy Lift has delivered a  2,200-tonne carousel and eight reels to Lagos for the Egina field development project, the company announced Tuesday.

The equipment, weighing a total of 3,509 tonnes, was transported from Newcastle, UK to Lagos, Nigeria on the HHL Lagos.

“Close connection between the Hansa Heavy Lift engineering, superintendents and the vessels crew allowed for a fast deck reinforcement through the installation of additional underdeck stiffeners and a spooling platform,” said project engineer Tom Kröger in a press statement.

The Egina field, operated by French super-major Total with a 24% stake, is located 150 kilometres offshore, in water depths of 1,750 metres, on OML 130.
