Jubilee FPSO to pause for repairs

ACCRA, May 22, 2018 – The Kwame Nkrumah FPSO on the Jubilee oilfield offshore Ghana will shut down for repairs next week, local and international media reported Monday.

The three-week shutdown, scheduled to begin next Monday, will allow for repairs to the turret.

In Q1 2018, the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah was shut down for 19 days for work to stabilise the turret bearing and other maintenance work. Another week-long pause is planned at the end of 2018 to rotate the FPSO to its permanent heading and install the final spread mooring anchoring system. Flintstone Technology was awarded the mooring system contract in May 2018.
