Jura begins production at Reti-2 well

Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, July 10, 2015 – Canadian exploration and production company Jura Energy announced in Friday that it has begun production at its Reti-2 well. The well is located on Pakistan’s Guddu block and is operated by the Oil & Gas Development Company.

The production rate of the well is currently 87,800 cubic metres per day (3.1 mcf). The total production of the Guddu block is 439,000 cubic metres per day (15.5 mcf).

Jura Energy has a 13.5 percent working interest in the Guddu block, which is in the country’s Middle Indus Basin. The Oil & Gas Development Company has a 57-percent share, while Egyptian IPR Transoil has a 9-percent interest and Government Holdings Private has a 20.5-percent interest.

Jura was forced to back out of its Ismail-1 well, also located on the Guddu block, earlier this year after revealing that the formation contained water.
