Pakistan’s NOC hits gas discovery

ISLAMABAD, June 20, 2022 – Oil & Gas Development Company has encountered gas at an exploration well on the Guddu block in south-eastern Pakistan, the NOC announced on Wednesday.

Wireline logs interpretation from the Umair South East-1 well saw gas flow of 30,100 cubic metres (1.06 mcf) per day. The company drilled the well to depths of 790 metres on May 9, 2022.

Oil & Gas Development Company operates the play along with a 70% stake along with partners SPUD Energy Pty with a 13.5% share, IPR Transoil Corporation with a 11.5% share and Government Holdings with the remaining 5% share.
