KBR wins offshore engineering contract for key Qatar oil project
DOHA, November 6, 2025 – KBR has been awarded a contract to provide detailed engineering services for the redevelopment of Qatar’s Bul Hanine offshore oilfield, the company said on Tuesday.
The Bul Hanine Redevelopment Project, led by QatarEnergy, is a landmark offshore initiative aimed at maximising production from one of Qatar’s oldest fields. Situated 100 kilometres east of the coast, the project entails installing over 60 offshore structures, 40 subsea pipelines and extensive platform upgrades. Valued at USD 4 billion, execution is targeted for completion by 2031.
