Kuwait signs $1.3-bln rig deals
KUWAIT CITY, November 19, 2018 – Kuwait Oil Company has signed deals to purchase at least 86 drilling rigs worth about USD 1.3 billion, local media reported over the weekend.
It is the largest purchase in the history of the NOC, Kuwait Times reported, citing CEO Jamal Abdul Aziz Ja’afar.
The news came also as the Kuwait National Petroleum Company completed the upgrade of six units under the Clean Fuel Project, the newspaper added.
