Kuwait targeting record output

In a bid to sustain economic growth, Kuwait will ramp up production to 4 million bopd by 2020, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation executive Abdulaziz Al Attar said on Thursday. The targeted level would mark an all-time record for the country.

According to Al Attar, Kuwait will aim to maintain production of 4 million bopd for a duration of 10 years. Ramping up output to the mentioned level would represent a 44% increase over current production, estimated at between 2.77 million and 2.85 million bopd.
