NNPC eyes bunkering company
ABUJA, August 31, 2018 – Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is looking into opening a ship refueling subsidiary, local media reported Thursday.
The NOC said the new subsidiary would help build its position in the shipping sector and improve profitability, Daily Trust reported.
“I’m sure it’s going to be a big business because we have so many vessels that come into the West African coast. This year alone, over 120 vessels have brought imports for us,” the group general manager of NNPC Shipping, Aisha Katagum, said in a statement.
The bunkering subsidiary is expected to be an incorporated company under the NNPC Shipping division.
