NNPC looks at 200,000-bpd condensate refineries
ABUJA, August 30, 2018 – Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation plans to establish two condensate refineries with a total capacity of 200,000 bpd, local media reported Wednesday.
The facilities are to be located in western Forcados and the Assah North-Ohaji South area in Delta and Imo states, The Guardian reported.
“The condensate refineries are going to be fully on commercial basis and we intend to get partners that would invest. We are willing to get partners and operate in a similar manner with NLNG model where we could just get a majority share but not a controlling share,” group managing director Maikanti Baru said in a statement.
The sites named are close to some of the Seven Critical Gas Development Projects the NOC signed agreements on in July.
