NNPC pipeline explodes in Lagos state

LAGOS, December 20, 2018 – A Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline has exploded in Lagos state in Nigeria, local media reported Thursday.

 

Five injuries have been reported, while 50 vehicles and 100 houses and shops were damaged, according to daily The Nation.

NNPC has directed its Nigerian Pipeline and Storage Company to conduct a full investigation and begin repairs. The NOC statement added that group managing director Maikanti Baru “had effectively put in place strategies to ensure that the unfortunate incident would not undermine products supplies during the festive period.”
