Oman LNG eyes 10% expansion by 2022
Oman In comments made on Sunday, Oman LNG CEO Harib Al Kitani said the 2022 goal would be achieved through debottlenecking existing facilities.
In an interview with TOGY earlier this year, Al Kitani said the Oman LNG plant had been running at full capacity since the first phase of the Khazzan gas mega-project was brought on line in September of last year.
With a further rise in gas production from Khazzan on the horizon, the company began a debottlenecking programme at its three-train Qalhat terminal this year. The debottlenecking is expected to be complete in 2021 and will add 1.2 million tonnes per year to the facility’s current capacity of 10.4 million tonnes per year.
