Orion in Iraq gas deal

BAGHDAD, January 23, 2018 – US independent Orion Energy has struck a deal to reduce flaring and process gas at the Nahr Bin Omar field in Iraq, international media reported on Monday.

 

The company signed an MoU with Iraqi NOC Basra Oil, which operates the field, Reuters reported. No financial details or time frame for the execution of the agreement were immediately available.

Nahr Bin Omar produces about 40,000 bopd and 708,000 cubic metres (25 mcf) of gas per day, the report added.
