Pemex, ExxonMobil sign MoU

MEXICO CITY, October 8, 2014 – ExxonMobil president Rex Tillerson met with Emilio Lozoya Austion, director general of Mexican national oil company Pemex in Mexico last week to sign a memorandum of understanding on future upstream and downstream co-operation.

Pemex said in a statement “The signing of the memorandum adds to the efforts Pemex has made to attract new technologies, capital and partners.”

Following Mexico’s sweeping energy reform in August 2014, agreements such as these may play an important role in Mexico’s upcoming Round One tender for 169.
