Qatar hosts the twelfth Arab Energy Conference

DOHA, December 14, 2023 – Qatar concluded the twelfth annual Arab Energy Conference in Doha with OPEC’s oil ministers in attendance, local news reported on Tuesday.

The conference ran from December 11 to December 12, 2023, and was overseen by Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi.

 

Representatives from 17 Arab countries were in attendance.

The officials discussed current challenges facing hydrocarbons-producing Arab nations, including the energy transition, sustainable development, new technologies and the growth of substantial downstream operations.

A total of 20 technical papers were presented at the summit.

The thirteenth Arab Energy Conference will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027.
