Saipem signs $940-million Brazilian EPCI contract

RIO DE JANEIRO, November 24, 2021 – Saipem has signed an EPCI contract with Petrobras for its offshore Buzios 7 project in Brazil, the Italian technology and engineering services company announced on Monday.
The works involve construction and installation of steel lazy wave risers and associated flowlines connecting 15 subsea wells to an offshore FPSO.
The pre-salt field is located 200 kilometres offshore Rio de Janeiro in water depths of 2,000 metres.
In July 2020, the company was awarded work on the Buzios 5 project for the same work.
