Saipem awarded drilling contract in Côte d’Ivoire

YAMOUSSOUKRO, March 3, 2023 – Saipem has signed a USD 400-million drilling contract with an Eni-led joint venture in Côte d’Ivoire, the Italian engineering and technology provider announced on Wednesday.

Works for partners Eni Côte d’Ivoire and Société Nationale d’Opérations Pétrolières de la Côte d’Ivoire will be conducted by the leased seventh-generation drillship named Deep Value Driller.

The vessel was built in 2014 and is the only asset of Deep Value Driller.

Saipem was awarded a three-year contract with the entity for the drillship with a possible one-year extension.

Saipem is also carrying out works on the Baleine field in Côte d’Ivoire with the Saipem 10000 and Saipem 12000 vessels.
