Saipem launches offshore green hydrogen tool

Italy
Saipem has launched a technology to power green hydrogen production at offshore platforms, the company announced on Monday.

The SUISO system combines floating wind, floating solar and marine energy to create green hydrogen through electrolysis. Oxygen acquired through the process can be used for aquaculture and seaweed production.

The first use of the technology will be on Saipem and Qint’x Holding’s Agnes offshore energy hub in Italy.
