Shell finalises Timi gas project in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, August 30, 2021 – Sarawak Shell Berhad has taken its final investment decision on the Timi gas development in Malaysia, parent company Royal Dutch Shell announced on Monday.

 

The Timi field situated 200 kilometres offshore Sarawak state will have a capacity of 7.6 mcm (268 mcf) per day and will transport the gas via an 80-kilometre pipeline to the F23 production hub.

The field sits on SK318 Block and is shared with partners Petronas Carigali (15%) and Brunei Energy (10%).

The Timi development will be powered by a solar and wind hybrid system.
