SLB launches new portfolio of carbon storage solutions
HOUSTON, June 16, 2025 – SLB has introduced Sequestri, a comprehensive portfolio of carbon storage technologies and services designed to support efficient and reliable carbon storage projects with precision, the company said.
The Sequestri solutions span the entire carbon storage value chain, integrating tailored hardware and digital workflows for improved decision-making in site selection, development, operations and monitoring. These tools draw from over 25 years of CCS project experience, enabling developers to screen, design, model and monitor carbon storage sites with precision.
“The Sequestri portfolio offers a comprehensive suite of solutions that provide the precision, reliability and efficiency needed to advance carbon storage projects at every stage of their lifecycle – driving meaningful progress toward industrial decarbonisation at scale,” SLB senior vice-president of industrial decarbonisation Katherine Rojas said.
The digital backbone of the Sequestri system connects technologies engineered for carbon storage applications, including subsurface safety valves, measurement tools and SLB’s EverCRETE CO2-resistant cement. In combination with SLB’s modular Capturi carbon capture solutions, the Sequestri portfolio offers a full suite for emitters and developers to manage CCS from capture to permanent storage.
SLB is a global technology company that operates in more than 100 countries. It provides digital and engineering solutions to support innovation in oil and gas, decarbonisation, and the development of new energy systems to accelerate the energy transition.
Global demand for carbon storage is rising sharply as countries incorporate carbon capture into their climate strategies and industrial emitters seek low-carbon solutions, with more than 50 new projects launched in Q1 2024 and global capture capacity expected to grow sixfold to 400 million tonnes annually by 2030.
