SLB OneSubsea wins subsea boosting contract for BP’s Tiber project in USA
HOUSTON, November 18, 2025 – SLB OneSubsea has secured an EPC contract from BP to deliver a subsea boosting system for the Tiber deepwater project in the US Gulf of Mexico, the company said on Tuesday.
The system will utilise a supplier-led, standardised high-pressure subsea pump solution, similar to that recently awarded for BP’s Kaskida development. Both fields target Paleogene reserves.
“We look forward to helping BP realise even more value from their Paleogene developments,” SLB OneSubsea CEO Mads Hjelmeland said. “We are seeing more and more operators adopt subsea boosting strategies that free up topside space and reduce power requirements.”
SLB OneSubsea is a global subsea technology joint venture formed by SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea7. Headquartered in Oslo and Houston, the company has 10,000 employees worldwide and focuses on enhancing offshore oil and gas production through digital and sustainable subsea systems.
SLB operates in over 100 countries, providing digital technologies and services across the oil and gas lifecycle, while advancing low-carbon and new energy solutions.
