SLNG hands out FEED contract for NGL extraction

Singapore

SINGAPORE, July 30, 2021 – Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) is co-operating with Keppel Infrastructure for the FEED of an NGL extraction facility at the SLNG LNG terminal on Jurong Island in Singapore, the company said on Wednesday.

The works will be carried out by Keppel’s wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Energy and an unnamed partner.

The process will use cold energy from the existing terminal to remove heavier hydrocarbons from LNG. The project is based on the company’s drive for sustainability and will see easier handling of LNG transport. The move is meant to support Singapore’s larger goal of becoming an LNG hub.
