Tecnimont and Baker Hughes partner on global LNG initiatives
MILAN, February 4, 2026 – Italy’s Tecnimont and US-based Baker Hughes have signed a memorandum of understanding to co-operate on modular, scalable LNG projects worldwide, the companies said on Wednesday.
The non-exclusive agreement will see the two parties explore joint participation in upcoming LNG tenders using Baker Hughes’ NMBL™ modular liquefaction solution. The companies aim to offer flexible, lower-carbon LNG infrastructure to meet global demand for faster and more sustainable gas development.
The deal builds on Tecnimont’s expertise in complex EPC work and Baker Hughes’ gas liquefaction and power technologies. It will provide a framework to assess project requirements and develop tailored cooperation models.
“This agreement represents another important step in our strategy to support the evolution of global gas value chains with high‑efficiency, modular solutions,” MAIRE CEO Alessandro Bernini said.
Tecnimont is the Integrated E&C Solutions unit of MAIRE, an Italian industrial group focused on engineering and technology for the energy transition. Its global operations include EPC services in natural gas, fertilisers, hydrogen and petrochemicals.
Baker Hughes is a US-based energy technology firm providing equipment and services for oil, gas and low-carbon energy markets across more than 120 countries.
