Total completes French petchem works

PARIS, May 12, 2017 – Total late on Thursday said it had completed the transformation of its Carling – Saint-Avold petrochemicals complex in France.

The EUR 200-million upgrade project saw the addition of new units and the revamp of existing facilities.

First announced in September 2013, the transformation project took three years to complete.

“The complex has transitioned from a site producing commodities facing intense competition to a high value site aligned with market demand,” CEO Patrick Pouyanné said of the work.
