Trinidad and Tobago launches 2025 deepwater bid round

PORT OF SPAIN, February 5, 2025 – Trinidad and Tobago has launched a bid round for 26 deepwater exploration blocks, the country’s energy ministry revealed.

Blocks on offer include Block 24 and Block 26, along with 24 blocks in the Trinidad and Tobago Deep Atlantic Area.

The 2025 Deep Water Competitive Bidding Round will run from January 27, 2025, to July 2, 2025.

The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries will announce the successful bids three months after bidding closes.

Blocks will be awarded under production-sharing contracts, with the country’s new 2025 model PSC due to be released within weeks.
