
Wintershall Dea exits Brazil’s upstream
RIO DE JANEIRO, January 18, 2022 – Wintershall Dea has decided to terminate all its operations in Brazil, the German upstream entity announced on Monday.
The company will close its offices in Rio de Janeiro and remove itself from participating interest in nine exploration licences on the Potiguar, Ceará, Campos and Santos basins awarded in 2018 and 2019.
No minimum work requirements or financial obligations remain on the assets.
