Wood and Shell sign multi-year co-operation agreement

ABERDEEN, August 3, 2023 – Wood has signed a multi-year enterprise framework agreement with Shell to continue providing services for the UK energy giant’s global projects, the Aberdeen-based engineering and consulting company announced on Wednesday.

Under the three-year framework, Wood will provide Shell with engineering, procurement and project management services for the energy giant’s greenfield and brownfield projects.

The scope also covers consultation and engineering services on energy transition projects focused on carbon capture, low-carbon fuels and hydrogen.

 

Services will be provided by Wood’s consulting and engineering teams in Europe, North America, Latin America, South-East Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

The contract includes the option for two one-year extensions.

“This award continues a 70-year relationship between Shell and Wood, spanning more than 20 countries and numerous major projects,” said Ken Gilmartin, CEO of Wood.

Value of the agreement was not disclosed.
