Wood wins Oman refinery contract

MUSCAT, October 9, 2018 – Wood has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract to provide coker heaters at Oman’s Duqm Refining and Petrochemicals Project, international media reported on Monday.

The contract will see Wood supply two Terrace Wall double-fired delayed coker heaters at the Duqm refinery, part of a downstream complex under development by Oman Oil Company and Kuwait Petroleum International through their joint venture, Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company.

For the project, Wood has previously undertaken the engineering and process design and technology package, including the licensing of its selective yield delayed coking technology.

Once completed, the Duqm refinery will process 230,000 bpd. Its primary products will include diesel, jet fuel, naphtha and LPG.
