Woodside inks long-term deal to supply LNG to Taiwan
PERTH, July 11, 2024 – Australia’s Woodside Energy has signed a deal with Taiwanese state-owned oil and gas company CPC Corporation for the long-term supply of LNG to Taiwan, Woodside announced on Thursday.
Under the terms of the deal, Woodside will supply approximately 6 million tonnes of LNG on a delivered basis over a period of 10 years starting in July 2024. Subject to conditions and terms for the period, Woodside may deliver an additional 8.4 million tonnes to CPC between 2034 and 2043.
“This agreement with CPC for long-term supply to Taiwan is a first for Woodside and another demonstration of the ongoing demand for Australian LNG in Asian markets,” said Woodside CEO Meg O’Neil.
LNG will be sourced from volumes across Woodside’s global portfolio.
