Kuwait Special Edition: Crisis and Resilience in the Covid-19 Era

0.00

The Energy Year is pleased to publish our special digital report dedicated to Kuwait under the theme of Crisis and Resilience in the Covid-19 Era. This digital edition details the strategies selected industry stakeholders in Kuwait have put in place to adapt to a new normal and navigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, embrace new efficiencies, keep their facilities and businesses operating, and offer maximum protection to their employees and collaborators.

In the midst of unprecedented challenges for the global energy industry, the report highlights Kuwait’s resilience, spotlighting some of the domestic and international players that are helping to propel the nation towards its future vision. Despite the dual shock of Covid-19 and the oil price drop, Kuwait’s energy industry is showing its strength. Important steps have been taken in the upstream sector, particularly in heavy oil production from the South Ratqa field. Kuwait Oil Company is not only developing new oil and gasfields, but also invigorating smaller midstream projects. Meanwhile, the landmark Al Zour refinery mega-project, set to rank among the largest refining sites in the world, is nearing completion.

The Energy Year wishes to express its strong support for all of the critical tasks carried out by the Ministry of Oil, the KPC group and all other government entities as they manage a crisis of unprecedented nature and impact. Through this special edition, we wish to salute the initiatives introduced by Kuwait’s leaders to navigate the new economic landscape and help the country emerge from this period into a sustainable future. The edition is dedicated to the legacy of Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

We give our heartfelt thanks to each and every contributor to this special report for their continuous support in building the country’s resilience and its sustainable energy future.

We trust you will enjoy reading this special edition. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at energyworld@theenergyyear.com.
