Range Resources lands Shell contract

PORT OF SPAIN, March 21, 2018 – Range Resources’ oilfield services arm has been granted a contract to drill an onshore well for Shell in Trinidad and Tobago, the company said on Wednesday.

Range will use Rig 19 to perform workover operations over an estimated 10-day period. According to the company, the rig is already on location and drilling began on Monday.

“We are also encouraged to see that the recent oil price recovery is having a favourable impact on activities in the sector,” company CEO Yan Liu said. “Having the benefit of one of the most efficient and modern rig fleets in the market, we are aiming to capitalise on this recovering market by securing further contract work and establishing a solid client base during 2018.”
