Eni selects GTT for FLNG technical services in Mozambique

PARIS, October 23, 2024 – Eni has awarded a services contract to French engineering company and containment systems specialist GTT for the Coral Sul FLNG vessel offshore Mozambique, GTT announced on Monday.

GTT will provide technical support services for the operation and maintenance of the LNG tanks on board the vessel, including on-site and remote technical assistance, on-site testing, inspection, emergency assistance, engineering services and specialised training programmes.

Coral Sul FLNG is equipped with a Mark III cryogenic liner membrane container system developed by GTT that maintains gas at low temperatures during shipping and storage at atmospheric pressure.

The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Eni operates the Coral Sul FLNG vessel in Area 4 of Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin on behalf of its project partners, which include ExxonMobil, CNPC, ADNOC and Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos, Mozambique’s national energy company.
