Vallourec wins Kuwait Oil Company contract to supply OCTG
KUWAIT CITY, April 28, 2025 – Vallourec has secured a contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to supply oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for drilling operations with potential revenue of more than USD 130 million, the company said on Monday.
The contract covers the delivery of carbon steel OCTG products fitted with high-torque flush premium connections and proprietary steel grades, scheduled for 2025 and 2026. Vallourec was awarded the most technically advanced part of KOC’s tender, issued in September 2024 for deep drilling applications, amid Kuwait’s plan to raise oil production to 4 million barrels per day by 2035.
“Vallourec is a strong partner of KOC, and this new order demonstrates our competitiveness and ability to reliably manufacture and deliver significant quantities of premium tubes and connections. We are eager to support KOC’s upcoming needs and challenging new projects with our most technically-advanced products,” group chairman and CEO Philippe Guillemot said.
The company highlighted its historical presence in Kuwait and the development of specific products for KOC’s offshore and onshore projects.
