Angola Cables joins Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Silver Sponsor
September 11, 2025The Energy Year is pleased to announce that Angola Cables has joined the Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Silver Sponsor.
Angola Cables is a multinational telecommunications operator formed by a consortium of major Angolan telecom players. With an extensive international network and a growing portfolio of technology solutions, Angola Cables is uniquely positioned to support Angola’s energy, mining and industrial sectors in their digital transformation journeys.
In 2024, Angola Cables strengthened its global footprint with new points of presence (PoPs) in Singapore and Los Angeles, enabling direct connectivity between Asia and Africa and further expanding access to its more than 30 major PoPs worldwide. Through subsidiaries like Telcables Nigeria, Angola Cables also delivers local network solutions across West Africa and has been upgrading connectivity in Southern Africa to meet increasing customer demand.
Angola Cables is investing heavily in its own technology platforms, particularly its on-demand Cloud2Africa service, which offers virtual cloud solutions tailored for African markets. The company’s cloud offering competes with international platforms while allowing payment in local currency and rapid activation, a key advantage for businesses across the continent.
Angola Cables provides critical digital infrastructure for oil and gas operators, offering ultra-low-latency connectivity from Luanda to Houston and Aberdeen, two of the world’s largest oil and gas hubs. By supporting digital oilfield technologies, Angola Cables is helping operators to lower costs, optimise processes and improve return on investment in this capital-intensive sector.
The Angola Energy Leaders Summit
Taking place on December 2 in Luanda, and held with the support of the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), the summit will bring together Angola’s most senior energy executives and global investors.
This year’s edition is particularly significant as Angola marks 50 years of independence, highlighting the energy sector’s enduring contribution to national development and the opportunities ahead in a diversifying energy landscape.
Angola Cables’ participation underscores the critical role of digital infrastructure in enabling economic growth, supporting industrial competitiveness and connecting Angola to global markets.
