Abdelkader Amara, Moroccan minister of energy, mines, water and environment, Egyptian Minister of Electricity Energy Mohamed Hamed Shaker El Markaby and the IEA’s Maria van der Hoeven are among the speakers.

The 21st Africa Upstream Conference at the oil week event will focus on exploration, development and production, new ventures, corporate oil/gas strategies, deepwater potential, acreage, licensing, acquisitions, foreign state players, new entries, Gas-LNG-GTL projects, upstream policies and opportunities, oil finance and investment, and building Africa’s oil, gas and energy future.

Issues addressed at the summit will include access to markets, capital and the regulations investors need to be aware of. Projects from pipelines to LNG will be discussed from ground breaking to decommissioning.

Speakers at the event will include senior executives from Edison, Vega Petroleum, Dana Gas – Egypt, Sinai Gas Company – Egypt, Vegas Oil & Gas West Obayed, Egyptian Natural Gas Company, BP Egypt, Apache Egypt Companies, Suez Oil Company – RWE, PICO International Petroleum, RWE, Tanmia Petroleum Company, Petrozenima,AmalPetro and El Hamra Oil Company.

Visitors to the event will hear about the latest developments in the hydrocarbons industry of Egypt and can meet with the Government, international oil companies, national oil companies and the elite of service providers involved in Egypt. Held on close to 60,000 square metres of exhibition space in the George R. Brown Convention Center, the 2015 event will feature former first lady Laura Bush as guest speaker.
