ASMO launches at Central Pipe Yard in Saudi Arabia
RIYADH, December 18, 2025 – Saudi Arabia’s ASMO has launched operations at the Central Pipe Yard (CPY) in the Eastern Province, an Aramco facility that is one of the world’s largest logistics hubs for pipe materials, ASMO announced on Monday.
ASMO is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco Development Company and DHL that operates three Aramco logistics facilities in Saudi Arabia. From the new location, it will support Aramco’s upstream, downstream and capital projects by managing storage and distribution of OCTG and line pipe materials.
The company plans to expand its infrastructure to six facilities by 2030 and grow its footprint to 8 square kilometres of storage area, with procurement spend under management expected to exceed USD 8 billion per year. ASMO also aims to deploy new technologies to enhance performance and efficiency across Aramco’s supply chain network.
“The transition of CPY operations to ASMO marks a significant milestone in our journey, as we continue to expand our footprint in Saudi Arabia and strengthen our capabilities. Our focus is on building a robust and resilient supply chain ecosystem, and we are confident that our team’s expertise, combined with our investment in new technologies, will enable us to make a meaningful contribution to the supply chain landscape,” said Craig Roberts, CEO of ASMO.
